Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am a 30-year-old man. I do not smoke, or drink, and I am not on any medications right now. I have had a painful tongue, primarily on the right side, for the past 12 months. The pain may subside for weeks before returning for a short while. I have no trouble swallowing, talking, or eating. My irritable bowel syndrome and health anxiety are my only recognized medical issues. Since I initially spotted this happening, nothing has changed, and images taken since then show that nothing has changed. I never become ill, and I did not lose any weight unintentionally. Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and can understand your concern.

Let me first assure you that it is not a serious issue. But it can cause some pain, burning sensation, etc. You did not mention your weight and height which is important to evaluate your nutritional status. I suggest you eat more boiled vegetables and fruits. Eat one boiled egg daily. Avoid junk foods like icecreams, cool drinks, carbonated beverages, coffee, spicy foods, etc. I suggest you take Albendazole 400mg single dose after dinner.

I hope I have answered your question.

Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards.
