Chronic rhinosinusitis is an inflammatory disorder of the paranasal sinuses, characterized by four cardinal signs such as facial pain, hyposmia, nasal drainage, and nasal obstruction. These symptoms persist for at least twelve successive weeks. It occurs due to nasal polyps and fungal allergy. The treatment mainly includes steroid nasal sprays, nasal saline washing, antibiotics, steroid pills, and leukotrienes like montelukast, zileuton, and zafirlukast.
