This doctor is not available for online consultations on the platform anymore.Hello doctor,
My daughter is 14-year-old and she has been feeling intense burning while peeing, itchiness inside and outside her vagina. She is peeing more often, and has an odd discharge. The discharge is in inner and outer labia. This discharge is almost clumpy, bitty, wets the toilet paper, with intense smell in the area. I got her urine checked and they said she was good but it is getting worse. This has been there from the past two months and is constant. She also had severe and persistent abdominal pain recently and got checked for appendicitis, it is normal. She has also got a urine test and an ultrasound that are also normal. Kindly suggest to me what can be done.
Thank you.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
Thanks for trusting us with your health care.
I have gone through your history and understand your concerns. Your symptoms are suggestive of vaginitis, which is caused mainly due to fungal infection. I suggest you keep the area dry and clean, drink lots of warm water and take a soft diet. Use antifungal medicine and cream for local application. Wear cotton undergarments, and eat curd and sugarless food. Do not wash your vagina frequently with water. Also, check your blood sugar level. I hope you found this useful, feel free to ask for more information.
Thank you.
