Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have been on a diet for almost a month now, but I feel that this diet does not work for me. There is no weight loss, even though I workout at the gym daily. There is no overall improvement in my body.

Please help me in finding the correct weight loss diet for me.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have read your query and understand your concern.

I know it can be frustrating and demotivating, to not see any positive results after putting in so much efforts. However, there are a few things you can consider if your diet and workout routine are not working for you.

  1. First of all be patient, losing weight and seeing an overall change in the body takes time. The change may not happen overnight. Be consistent with your diet and workout regimen.
  2. Track your food intake by maintaining a food diary. Make a note of what you are eating and how much you are eating. This will help you understand if you are consuming too many calories and insufficient nutrients.
  3. Count your calories. Even if you are consuming healthy foods, consuming too much of it will prevent weight loss. You may need to adjust your calorie intake to ensure if you have a calorie deficit.
  4. Review your workout routine and ensure if you are doing enough exercise. If your workout routine is too easy you may need to increase the intensity or duration of your workouts to see results.
  5. There may be other factors impacting your ability to lose weight, such as stress levels, sleep patterns, or medical conditions. Remember that weight loss is not the only measure of progress. Focus on overall health and wellness by incorporating healthy habits such as getting enough sleep, managing stress, and staying active.

Kindly visit your healthcare provider, speak to them about your health concerns. They will evaluate your health condition and suggest some basic blood tests to rule out any underlying medical issues. I hope this has helped you out.

Thanks and regards.
